When a patient has commenced the patient portal registration, an access code will be sent to the email address/mobile phone number, provided within this registration, in order to verify their identity. However, quite often the patient does not/cannot proceed at this stage. This is usually because they do not have access to the given email address/mobile phone number, and so, their verification is left pending.
The status of the patient’s access to the portal can be found in the Edit Details section. It is here where a reversal of their pending status can be carried out. The below steps demonstrate this in further detail:
1. Navigate to the Appointment section > Find Patient > click on Edit Patient Details icon.
2. Click on the Details tab and scroll down to the bottom field titled Patient Portal Status to where the message reads ‘Pending Registration’. Uncheck the box to revert to the original setting.
3. A second dialogue box will appear as a screen message, prompting you if this is the exact course of action that you wish to take. Click on the Accept option.
4. The Patient Portal Status field will show now show an unchecked box next to the words Pending Registration. Click Save to complete the task.
