A Lead patient is a potential patient that might have phoned the practice looking for more information or a quote regarding a treatment but never actually booked an appointment. The main aim of having Lead patients on the system is to be able to follow up on these leads and to hopefully convert these lead patient's into active patients.
Lead patients can be added the same way as you would add a active patient. Simply select the 'Add Patient' button on the appointment screen. See below:
The next step then is to gather as much information about the patient as you can. The more information you have regarding the patient the easier it will be for communicating with your lead patient's and following up on them.

The only difference when adding a lead patient to the system is you will want to make the status of the patient 'lead' instead of 'active'. See below:
Once you have successfully added the patient you will then be able to assign tasks based on this patient to follow up on them and also run reports to be able to communicate with these patients.
