Within Aerona, practices can set up automatic reminders by following the below steps:
Go to 'Communication' > 'Setup'. See below:
Automatic reminders can then be set by selecting the tickbox beside 'Configure Automatic Reminders'. See below:
You can then select if you would like to send out automatic SMS or/and emails to patients. To do this, simply select the checkbox beside the option/s that you would like. You can also amend the number of days prior to the appointment that the reminder will be sent by adjusting the number within the box. Once you have updated this, simply select the template that you would like to send out for each communication type.
You can then select if you would like only one reminder to be sent per patient or not. If only one SMS per patient is selected this will mean that if a patient has 2 appointments on the same day they will only get a reminder for 1 appointment.
If you would then like to send out a second reminder this can also be done by selecting the tick box beside the send a second automated reminder to your patients. See below:
Once you are happy with the set-up simply select 'Save' and this will turn on the automatic process.
You also have the option of only sending one reminder, if this is enabled the earliest appointment time will be disclosed via the email/SMS
